ProMolder 2

ProMolder 2 is a 5-day classroom and hands-on injection molding technology course for plastics professionals. After successful completion of ProMolder 1, complete this 5-day classroom and hands-on plastic injection molding technology course to gain new math, spend more time working with the machines, and practice hands-on with SimTech injection molding simulator. Most courses are in-person, with occasional virtual seminars. Use the left-hand menus to choose your delivery method and location.

Description

ProMolder 2 is a two-part course. First, learn about the plastic properties and behavior that affects part quality, the scientific basis, and the technology of molding. Learn to analyze common molded part defects, their causes, and solutions. Bring your own parts: we’ll help you complete a detailed analysis of results, defects, how they occurred, and best practices for solving each type of defect. in the second part of the seminar, gain experience improving results with hands-on molding practice, with both the Paulson injection molding simulator.  The simulation provides each attendee hands-on practice setting and observing the effects of each machine control on the plastic and the molded parts, including problem-solving. The final portion of the seminar is a molding laboratory using a live machine: attendees demonstrate the new skills and knowledge they’ve gained throughout the seminar.

Course Outline

  • Understand the relationships between molding machine controls
  • Understand plastic processing conditions in molds and resulting properties
  • Practical, hands-on application experience through simulations and live machines
  • How to optimize processing for maximum profit
  • Preparation and pre-qualification for Paulson's ProMolder 3 seminar, the most advanced level of certification

Prerequisites

Satisfactory completion of Paulson’s ProMolder 1 seminar, or passing the pre-assessment test administered by Paulson.

After completing ProMolder 1 & 2, continue learning with ProMolder 3.
